FAQs and Support

Please Note: Wildfire CityPages Version 10.14, the version you are using, is in beta and expected to fully release early 2026. Everything is functioning and stable, but I'm sure you will find bugs or things that don't flow exactly as planned. If you see something, post in the CityPage Announcements Category and I'll take a look. Likewise, the Help pages are update once a feature is complete, so while we are doing our best to keep HELP consistent with the site, there may be a few updates needed.

Thank you,
George

About Wildfire CityPages

Wildfire CityPages is your trusted local platform for the St. Louis metro area, covering communities across Illinois and Missouri. We’re building a connected, authentic online space where neighbors can discover what’s happening, support local businesses, and engage in meaningful conversations, all while keeping things simple, private, and community-focused.

At its heart, CityPages combines these core features:

  • Discussions – A real-name, verified-member forum where residents can ask questions, share recommendations, discuss local issues, and connect as neighbors.
  • Community Events Calendar – A shared calendar of local happenings, from festivals and fundraisers to classes and performances.
  • Local Business Directory, called the Business Hub – Verified businesses can share specials, press releases, job openings, articles, and updates in their own dedicated space.
  • Illinois Real Estate Support, Search, and Resources – George Sykes, Managing Broker with Worth Clark Realty, provides full-service real estate support for home buyers and sellers across the Illinois side of the St. Louis metro.

Why the mailed verification? Every member must confirm their account with a unique code we mail to their physical address. This quick step ensures participants are real people living in our covered communities. It creates trust, encourages thoughtful posting, and keeps the platform truly local, no bots, no trolls, no outsiders gaming the system.

Privacy and accountability go hand in hand. Logged-in members see real first and last names, making conversations feel personal and responsible—like talking face-to-face at a community meeting. Non-logged-in visitors see only “Local Resident” to protect privacy while still letting them read discussions.

We keep the design clean and distraction-free—no profile pictures, no likes/upvotes, no endless scrolling feeds. The focus stays on **ideas, questions, and community connection**.

Businesses have their own section to post specials, news, and updates, so the discussion area remains a genuine neighbor-to-neighbor space. Verified business owners can still join conversations as regular members—just no direct advertising there.

Our goal is simple: give residents a reliable, welcoming place to stay informed, get involved, and feel more connected to the people and places around them.

Welcome to Wildfire CityPages. We’re glad you’re here.
